Desire to Inspire # 10: Thanksgiving

My husband, who loves me well.
My mom and dad, who demonstrate unconditional love.
Our home, and especially the eight rolling acres upon which it sits. The hay field, the cows that moo mournfully at us when they haven’t been fed on time. Our little garden, that my dad planted this fall. The big trees that shade our yard. The four rose bushes that welcome our guests on the west side of the house.
Mr. E.’s job, that he loves. And that allows him to work from home three days a week. (And the fact that he has been finished with school for almost a year!)
The generosity of friends and family. And that the Lord not only provides for every need, but also blesses us with many of our wants.
Friends who love me, who pray for me, who encourage me.
Avocados. Specifically the ones that find their way into guacamole. *wink*
The ability to read, to drown myself in a good book. To learn and study.
The sense of smell And scents that bring back fond memories of summer afternoons on a quilt outside, and late night fireside chats while camping underneath the stars with our best friends in the whole world.

Serendipitous thrift store finds, like vintage cameras for just a few dollars.

The faithful, goofy love of our black lab.

Music, and the way it lifts my spirit and enhances the loveliness of life.

These are things for which I am especially thankful. Happy Thanksgiving, friends.
