Sometimes I feel it.
Somewhere deep inside where no one sees, buried beneath fragile, mortal skin and secret, hidden emotions – I feel it.
And when I am distracted, drawn to those things that seem so important at the time but at the end of the day are long forgotten, it sometimes feels like nagging.
And when I am focused, pushing aside distractions and intentionally exposed and vulnerable before the Creator, it sometimes feels like tugging.
And when I am broken, painfully torn and ravaged from wrestling with the Almighty, it sometimes feels like heartbreak.
And when I am calm, completely at peace and wholly delighted in Him, it sometimes feels like love.
Though silent, I hear it raging, roaring within my spirit.
Though unseen, I am aware of its effect. Like the rustling of leaves as the wind performs an invisible and beautiful dance among the trees…I see it rustling, dancing within my soul.
Though intangible, I feel it burning, searing its sovereign mark on my mortal heart.
And I know this one earth-shattering, life-giving truth: He is in pursuit.
The God of the universe, in all His transcendent, resplendent glory and grace – He is in pursuit of me.
Oh the glory.

ARD: When did you first set goals for your business/blog? How do you hold yourself accountable to accomplish those goals?
SDJ: She Does Justice is pretty new on the blog/handmade shop scene. I set goals right away and have tried to keep myself accountable with monthly check-ins. I am a huge fan of self assessments and check-ins.
I have also recently started working with two mastermind groups. One is focused on handmade shops and the other is focused on my blog. It has been great to get feedback and accountability that way as well.

Oh, I love that. He is in pursuit and sometimes it really is h.a.r.d. I have found that waiting and going through what seems so difficult can later reap such wonderful rewards. He always know what is best and how to get us there. GREAT post Amanda.
Amen, Sarah! It is hard and painful – but wow is it so worth it!

“And when I am broken, painfully torn and ravaged from wrestling with the Almighty, it sometimes feels like heartbreak.” …. yes.
