Well Hello.
Today I am so honored to introduce you to a sweet, sweet lady. I asked Megan to share a little bit about how God is wrecking her life, breaking her heart and pursuing her affection as she and her family journey through an international adoption.
Hi! I am so excited to share a bit of my life over here with all of Amanda’s friends!
My name is Megan and I have a blog/shop: She Does Justice.
My family is in the process of adopting our daughter. She is currently in Africa but should be home (hopefully!) in March.
This post is really just a glimpse of where the Lord has my heart lately. He has my heart hurting for hers…
I have cried many tears for my baby girl lately. They aren’t the same tears that have been crying all along. Those tears were for longing for her to be home. For her safety. For her health. Begging Jesus to make sure someone was holding her, hugging her, loving her well.
These tears are for her heart.
Because soon she will lose everything that she knows.
She will say goodbye to everything that is familiar to her. Her foster mama, her bed, her country.
My heart hurts for her.
She is going to experience a lot of loss on her journey to join her family and I pray that I never overlook or take those things for granted.
My constant prayer these past few days is that the Lord is preparing her heart. That she somehow knows that she is coming home. To her forever home. To her family.
And, ultimately, I trust Him and I trust Him with her heart. Because I love her so much that my heart literally hurts…and He loves her so much more than that.
I trust Him because He has so clearly written her story. The story of Shiloh, which means ‘His gift’.
Thanks so much for letting me share a bit of my heart, friends. I hope you will come over to She Does Justice to learn more of how Shiloh inspired it all!
Blessings!
Megan

Megan- praying for you and your sweet baby girl! She will be losing ever known, but she’ll be gaining things she never knew also. A momma who loves and cares for her, a family that has worked and prayed to bring her home. And the oppt. be taught the way and the truth.
Praying for smooth travels, thank you for sharing your heart. May you be blessed.
Thanks so much, Amanda! Your encouragement means so much!
Megan-my heart has been there too in just the few days we’ve known of our girls. A song that started to mean a lot to me as we wait to bring the girls home is Chris Tomlin’s “God of Angel Armies”. It’s been my prayer for our children & it will be my prayer for Shiloh too that God will always be by their side and go before them & stand behind them through all of it. Knowing that God is caring for them our hearts can rest, even though its so hard!
Thank you for sharing your heart!
